Why SIM RACING
Although many professionals in Motorsport continue to enjoy driving karts when they have time, it’s a well-known fact that many use karting as a way to keep them race-fit too. In a similar way that karting has really become the foundation at grassroots level that ultimately prepares youngsters for a future racing career, Sim Racing is the online racing alternative that provides immense value as a training tool.
At this time, when it is not possible to be out on track, drivers can still immerse themselves in a virtual eSport game that lets them experience that feeling of real racing against many other competitors, as they stay focused on improving their skills for their return to the circuit soon.
Consider also that F1 hotshots who were Rotax champions when they were growing up racing karts – like Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, George Russell, Nicholas Latifi and many others, are now honing their own skills from home as they keep themselves active on track with eSport racing.
Another karter, Rudy van Buren became the first ever McLaren F1 “World’s Fastest Gamer” eSports champion, where his amazing talent enabled him to achieve his F1 dream as a simulator development driver. This year, he continues this role with the Mahindra Racing Formula E Team, yet every week you can follow him online competing in eSport sim racing.
BRP-Rotax is entering a new level of eTechnology with the new Rotax SIM RACING Challenge. Rotax has already set the pace in the real world of eKarting for the past two seasons and when the racing begins again this year, the new Project E20 will undoubtedly boost electric karting. To be in with a chance to live the eKarting experience at the RMCGF 2020 in Bahrain, secure your place now in our online eSport formula Rotax SIM RACING Challenge!
We’re bringing our Rotax family together in the race against COVID-19.
