Collaboration agreement between Rotax and Monlau Repsol Technical School
July 29, 2014: Monlau Repsol Technical School has received a Rotax engine which the students of the Master in competition engineering will assembly in the manufacture of a kart project. In addition, It will be used for the learning program of future mechanics of karting in the Barcelona Center, using the latest technology in this field.
Thanks to this assignment, students will know perfectly well these engines, their systems from feeding, power, exhaust and ignition technology. Also, during testing to be carried out with the kart manufactured by engineering students, they will be able to put into practice those concepts that have been previously explained in theoretical lectures.
The delivery of the propeller was carried out last Sunday during the third trial in the Spanish Rotax Series, on the Lucas Guerrero international circuit in Chiva, Valencia. Arnaldo Frias, Director of the Korridas company and Rotax representative on the peninsula, was in charge of the gift made to David Simon, Technical Director of the Auto competition dept. of Monlau Repsol Technical School.
"Having the support from a manufacturer of engines as Rotax, and an important organizer of karting racing events as Korridas, is transcendental to further enhance our teaching. For us, to have material of last generation in our classrooms and projects is an added value that will definitely be in favour of the learning of our students and future Motorsports technicians and mechanics", says David Simon.
